AQ Wiring Systems Rockford is committed to innovative design and lean manufacturing processes, so AQ Wiring Systems Rockford always strives to minimise wastefulness without sacrificing productivity. Participation in the SiG (Sharing in Growth) programme was instrumental to fine-tuning AQ Wiring Systems Rockford’s processes.
Through our work with SiG we have developed a new business strategy with vision, mission and values. SiG’s recommended Project 7 effective lean leadership behaviours also proved excellent in consolidating learning.
AQ Wiring Systems Rockford’s New Product Introduction (NPI) process now includes closed loop, cost evaluation and lessons learned.
We have begun a short interval control process. A new model cell was introduced, which improved cycle time by >60%.
The SiG programme has helped AQ Wiring Systems Rockford develop an effective people productivity measure. We have also implemented an improved reporting system and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).
All four waves of our National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) funding was completely utilised by staff. A total of 21 NVQs were completed across Rendlesham and Worksop.
