Offset Requirements

Helping you meet your offset obligation with in-country manufacturing provided by our affiliate company in the UAE. All foreign defence contractors who received over $10 million worth of contracts from the U.A.E. over a consecutive five-year period will incur an offset “obligation” amounting to 60% of the total value of those contracts. Since 2014, Rockford has worked alongside its affiliate company Rockford-Xellerix in Abu Dhabi to provide support to the MENA region. Through this partnership, Rockford is able to offer offset capabilities to customers who are interested in moving some aspects of production to the UAE. Rockford-Xellerix LLC can design and manufacture cable assemblies, electro-mechanical enclosures and sub-systems to IPC 620 standards.

The aim of the UAE offset programme is to provide high-tech jobs for people in local businesses, working often with aerospace and defence companies.

Offset services include the in-country manufacturing of interconnect, cables, electro-mechanical enclosures, design and sub-systems, technology transfer, a regional export capability, local job creation, in-country training and knowledge transfer through supply-chain partners.
